WHEREAS, the Brooktrails Township Community Services District Board of Directors has consistently participated in the Project Development Team for the US-101 Bypass of Willits, to ensure this project is consistent in delivering benefits to our community, and furthers the goals from our long-range planning as represented by our adopted Brooktrails Specific Plan; and

WHEREAS, California SB45 (Transportation Bill) sets standards for regional projects to consider generators of regional traffic when designing new roadway segments; and

WHEREAS, Brooktrails Township, as a regional generator of traffic now and into the future as a significant growth area in Mendocino County, achieved design features needed for our community from the US-101 Bypass of Willits Program, as part of the approved, funded and ready-for-construction phase of this critical Federal/State transportation project for US Highway 101 regional users; and

WHEREAS, Brooktrails Township supports the Mitigation and Monitoring Plan that offsets unavoidable impacts of the project, as complementing our Greenbelt and watershed improvement projects to enhance native species populations and create regional open space corridors to further our shared environmental stewardship responsibilities,

NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the Board of Directors as follows:
